Marilyn Basso Obituary
Marilyn Ann Basso (nee Stempel), 72, of Elyria, died June 5, 2022 at Life Care Center of Elyria. She was born April 11, 1950 in Elyria and was a 1968 graduate of Oberlin High School. She had been a resident of Wakeman, Lorain and Bono before residing in Elyria. Marilyn had been employed at Ford Avon Lake Assembly Plant during the late 1970’s. She practiced the Christian faith of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was very much a dog person and always had at least two dogs present with her throughout all parts of her life. Marilyn also had a green thumb, enjoyed gardening, grew several types of plants and loved flower arranging. Marilyn is survived by sons, Roger Overstreet, Jr. of New London, Daniel Overstreet of TX, Anthony Basso of Vermilion and Phillip Basso of Lorain; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; mother, Oni Strempel; brother, Thomas Strempel; a sister, Barb Nelson and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore R. Strempel. Burial will be in Townsend Township Cemetery, Collins, Ohio. Photo Album
