Marilyn J. Tyler (nee Kastler), 77, of Elyria Township, passed away quietly May 16, 2023. She was born April 18, 1946 in Elyria, was a 1964 graduate of Elyria High School and attended Carnegie College and LCCC. Marilyn had been employed at Cerro Copper and Brass, General Electric and Beckett Air. She attended Cross Community Church, Elyria and enjoyed many church groups. She loved being with her family, homemaking, ancestral research, cooking, crafts and knitting. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 54 years, Tracy L.; daughter, Heather A. (Brandon) Mercer; grandchildren, Ryan, Alex, Ethan, Charles and Griffin and a brother, James A. Kastler. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa J. Tyler in 2021 and parents, Adelbert and Ida (nee Dellefield) Kastler. Friends will be received Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 11:00 am until the time of a 12:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria with Pastor Laurel Anderson officiating.
