Marjorie Bridgett Obituary
Marjorie A. Bridgett (nee Vargo), 82, of Marblehead, died January 4, 2022 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky after a brief illness. She was born June 1, 1939 in Elyria and was a 1957 graduate of North Ridgeville High School. She was also a former resident of Westlake, Burton and Chagrin Falls before moving to Marblehead in 1999. Since 1994, Marge has been the owner of M. Bridgett Company. She was a member and active volunteer at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Marblehead. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren, boating, fishing and golf. Marge is survived by her son, Bryan W. (Deanna) Bridgett of Avon; foster son, Kahar Ghaffar of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; grandchildren, Alayna (fiancé Patrick Nusbaum) and Nathan Bridgett; sisters, Beverly Ross of Elyria and Deborah (Steve) Lump of Litchfield Park, AZ; brothers, Andrew (Rose) Vargo of Bethesda, MD and Douglas (Denise) Vargo of Camarillo, CA; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Thomas W. Bridgett in 2009; son, Bradley A. Bridgett in 1981; parents Andrew and Anna Vargo; sisters, Nancy Vargo and baby girl Vargo; and her brother in law, Jay Ross. Friends will be received Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Friends will also be received Thursday, January 13, 2022 from noon until the time of a 2:00 pm service at the funeral home with Pastor Beth Westphal officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Out of respect of our guests, masks are required.
