Mark Salisbury Obituary
Mark Alan Salisbury, 54, passed away October 11, 2022 after a short illness at Mercy New Life Hospice, Lorain. He was born December 11, 1967 in Elyria, Ohio. Mark had been a resident of The Meister Home in Lorain since its opening October 28, 1981. He was a graduate of Murray Ridge School and for many years attended the Lorain Workshop. Mark is survived by his father, Clifford Salisbury and step-mother Betty Salisbury of Elyria; aunts, Mary Karlovec (nee Salisbury) of Elyria, Nancy Linge (nee Briton) of Evansville, Indiana; uncles Robert Salisbury of Elyria and Kenneth Salisbury of Fairview Park and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Holly C. Salisbury (nee Briton) March 15, 1989; grandparents, Clifford and Gladys Salisbury and Norman and Irma Briton; aunt Judith Willcox (nee Salisbury) and uncles John Salisbury and Norman Briton. Mark's family would like to thank the staff of the Murray Ridge Center and the Meister Road Home for all their years of compassionate care, love and support. The family would also like to thank the citizens of Lorain County for supporting these facilities. A memorial service for Mark will be Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 11AM at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 330 Second Street, Elyria. A private burial service will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria at a later date.
