Marlene Ellen Slosier (nee: Fannin), 65, of Wellington, died October 15, 2014.She was born February 16, 1949 in Oberlin and was a 1967 graduate of Wellington High School.She was formerly employed by The Nord Center and the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation.Marlene was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wellington. She was a kind and caring person to those in need and a supporter of Will Help in Wellington. Marlene enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening especially with her grandchildren. Marlene is survived by her husband of 46 years, Richard D; son, Scot (Michelle) Slosier of Grafton; daughter, Staci (William) Starr of Avon Lake; grandchildren, Madison Slosier and Billy and Alli Starr; brothers, Marty Fannin of Wellington and Jon (Lynn) Fannin of Oberlin and a sister, Gayle Marie Fannin of Wellington.She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Whitey and Mary Fannin.Friends will be received Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria, Ohio. Friends will also be received Monday October 20, 2014 from 9:30 AM until the time of a 10:30 AM funeral mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 512 N. Main St., Wellington, Ohio.Reverend Father James J. Reymann, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington, Ohio.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Will Help Inc. 127 Park Place, Wellington, Ohio 44090.
