Marshall E. Rider, Jr., 82, of Elyria, died April 30, 2014 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Avon. He was born April 7, 1932 in Cannelton, West Virginia and was a 1950 graduate of Montgomery High School, Montgomery, WVAfter graduation, Marshall moved to Elyria and worked for General Motors Fisher Guide Plant, where he was employed for over 30 years.He was a veteran of the U S. Army and had also served with the U.S. Navy Reserves, altogether 42 years. He was also a member of Lorain County Sheriff’s Auxiliary 7 years and enjoyed U S. military and politics. Marshall is survived by a brother Carl (Barbara) Rider of Elyria and sister Phyllis Bogue of Tavares, FL.He was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Jane Rider in 1992, daughter Debra Rider in 2008, infant son Edward Dean Rider, sister Margie Harrah in 1985 and his parents Marshall E.
