During the 1980s Dr. Kay was my chairperson. He was my most encouraging professor. Please accept my belated condolences. I will miss him.
My thoughts are with the Kay family. In the bible we find hope and comfort. Psalms 46:1 "God is our refuge and strength. A help that is readily to be found in time of distress."
At Toledo Univesity your dad after meeting me for the first time told me if there is anything I need just help yourself. He meant it. He was a great father figure and a kind man. May God bless the entire Kay family.
To members of Michael Kay's family: I send you my sympathy at this time of Michael's death. He was a dedicated scholar and fervent activist in many causes for the benefit of humanity. I remember dozens of excellent conversations with him and Betty Ruth on politics, economics and culture. I also especially remember Mandy, Danny, Jonny and Ceri, and send them my love. Peace, Ron Lora
My sincere condolences to the Kay family and all friends of Dr. Kay, one of my mentors. He was one of the best instructors I ever encountered, a true master in his field and an honest critic but always a thorough reader who could correct himself if he saw the need, and more importantly a sympathetic and caring human being. I consider myself privileged to have been his student and research assistant at the University of Toledo. As we would say in Polish, Honor to his memory!
