Mary Elaine Deulley (nee Clowser), 89, of Elyria, died February 6, 2017 at Ames Family Hospice House, Westlake after a brief illness. She was born October 24, 1927 in Progress, WV and has been a resident of Elyria since 1948. For many years, Mary was employed as a banquet waitress and after retiring, enjoyed working summers at Indian Hollow Golf Course. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and Elyria V.F.W. #1079 Ladies Auxiliary. Mary was a tender mother and faithful friend, and is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Jim) Diederich of Elyria; son, Michael (Connie) Deulley of Valparaiso, IN; grandsons, Brett Diederich and Matt (Ashley) and Mark (Rochelle) Deulley and great grandchildren, Vivian and Ethan Deulley. She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil W. Deulley in 1986; daughter Renee Heberling in 2007 and three brothers. “Nin” was a proud, independent woman who never met a stranger and was loved by many. Friends will be received Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the time of an 11:00 a.m. memorial service at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Reverend Albert Veigas will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church, 611 Lake Ave., Elyria, OH 44035.
