Mary Lucille Van, 95, of Elyria, died May 24, 2019 at O’Neill Healthcare North Ridgeville. She was born October 19, 1923 in Tiffin, Ohio and was a graduate of Tiffin High School. She had formerly been employed at The Graystone Hotel and Restaurant, Paradise Restaurant, and Halle Brothers. Lucille was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church and a former member of Lorain County Women’s Golf Association. She was parent of the year and former president of the P.T.U. at Murray Ridge School and very proud to have raised a mentally challenged son for 38 years. Lucille is survived by sons, Daniel (Beth) Van of LaGrange, Jerome Van of Elyria, Peter (Sue) Van of Wheat Ridge, CO, Timothy (Brenda) Van of Medina, and Joel Van of Grafton; daughter, Therese (Dallas) Zenisek of Ravenna; granddaughters, Vicki Rodgers and Laura (Dale) Kincaid; and a brother, David (Eileen) Weber.She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in 1985; parents, Clara and Frank Weber; brothers, Ferd, Herbert, Maurice, and Richard Weber; and a sister, Angela Schlather.Friends will be received Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 12:00 noon until the time of a 1:00 pm funeral mass at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 41295 North Ridge Road, Elyria. Reverend Father John C. Retar will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria at a later date.Memorial contributions may be made for the financial assistance of O’Neill Healthcare employees to pursue further education in nursing.
