Mary Lynn Archer (nee: Howell), 75, of LaGrange died December 21, 2012 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange. She was born March 26, 1937 in Jackson, Ohio and moved to Elyria in 1942. Lynn was a 1955 graduate of Elyria High School and received a degree in education from Kent State University. She taught for 26 years in the Buckeye School District and after retiring was a substitute teacher in the Keystone and Midview School Districts and also at North Coast Christian Academy. She was a long time member of LaGrange United Methodist Church.Lynn is survived by a daughter, Vickie Bena of Elyria; sons, Patrick (Carrie) Archer of Columbus, Ohio, Charles Archer of Elyria and Shawn Archer of Brunswick; 7 grandchildren; sister, Jane (Larry) Bergman of Champagne, IL; brothers, Harry (Susan) Howell III of Williamstown, NJ, David (Barbara) Howell of Vermilion and James Howell of Dayton.Lynn was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Robert in 2003; son, Mark in 1991 and parents, Harry and Vera Howell.Friends will be received Thursday December 27, 2012 from 10:00 AM until the time of an 11:00 AM service at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend Ralph Krall will officiate with burial in River Road Cemetery, LaGrange Township.
