She was born April 11, 1934 in Glendale, CA to Eugene S. Grove Sr. and Mary Camp Grove. Mary Lynne was the age of five when she, her father, and her brother (Eugene S. She and her dear friend Marian Lott moved to Kendal at Oberlin in 2006 and immersed themselves in the community. She and her friend Marian took many trips together including Russia, Alaska, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and at the age of 75, they drove across the country to visit family and friends. Religion and spiritual life were very important to Mary Lynne. She was a devout Lutheran who joined the Christ Episcopal Church upon moving to Oberlin.
