Matthew A. McCauley, 39, of Elyria and formerly of Lorain passed away July 19, 2017. He was born July 10, 1978 in Cleveland, OH and had lived in San Diego, CA. Matt worked in the construction industry and was held in high regard by his employers. Matt is survived by a son, Adrian, whom he loved very much and Adrian’s mother, Jessica; brother, Owen (Brie) McCauley; niece, Magdalene; his grandma Pat and aunts, Karen Chibar, Kim Brandom and Sue (Mike) Snyder. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna McCauley; father and step-father. Friends are asked to say a prayer for Matthew and to memorialize him in their hearts. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elyria.
