Melvin was an interesting person to talk with. I never knew what he was going to say! He was a lot of fun once I got to know him a little better. I'm sorry I live so far away (MI), but I'm really thankful he and RoseMary came to family reunions. I was really impressed by his determination! He could do ANYTHING he put his mind to! He did a very good job of taking care of RoseMary. Love and HUGS to you, Cousin
Melvin and I were in high school together and although we didn't hang with the same group of kids I remember him as a tough determined kid. I'm glad to see he had a good life and people to love him. May his memory be a blessing
Melvin was my big brother. We really didn't do much together, however, in 4th grade he asked me to do his schoolwork. In 7th grade around Halloween, Melvin wore a dress to school. He sure got picked on that day. When he and Rosemary came from Ohio we played croquet. On our family get together, both brothers had their children along and my children, all seemed to get into a rough game of football. Melvin got brought down by most of the boys a lot of the time. But he said he had a great time. We ate, sat around, talked about our lives filling in the years we weren't together. It was very nice and memorable.
