Michael J. Muraco Michael J. Muraco, 73, of Avon, died February 9, 2021 at Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital. He was born December 15, 1947 in Cleveland and was a 1965 graduate of Shaw High School. Michael was employed at Ford Motor Company for thirty years, retiring in 2006 from the Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky. He was a member of UAW Local 862. Michael was an avid sports fan especially of The Ohio State University and Louisville Cardinals. He followed the Cleveland Cavilers and Indians and had collected baseball cards and hot wheel cars. He also enjoyed country music and loved spending time with his rescue dog, Chewy. Michael is survived by his wife of fifty two years, Betty S. (nee Glasgow); son, Anthony (Mallori) Muraco of Lorain and daughter, Sherri Werderitsch of Avon Lake; grandchildren, Angelo Muraco, Ian Werderitsch, Madaleine, Maxwell and Emerson Lake and Wyatt Muraco; sister, Linda (Gary) Webb. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Ellen Muraco and a brother, Ron Muraco. Friends will be received Saturday February 13, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A private service for the family will follow with Deacon Bob Walling of Holy Spirit Parish, Avon Lake officiating.
