Michelle N. Morgenstein (nee Rector), 52, of Elyria died May 21, 2019 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center. She was born in Lexington, KY and was a graduate of Palmetto High School in Miami, FL. She had been an Ohio resident for the past 15 years and worked in the medical billing field. She enjoyed motorcycle rides, fishing, gardening, spending time with her family, her dogs, cat, and turtle.Michelle is survived by her daughters, Carissa, Katelyn, and Cierra Morgenstein and Destiny Smith; grandson, Hunter Moran; granddaughter-to-be, Brynlee Issarelli; life companion, Jeff Smith; sister, Deonda Scott; aunts, Joan Jeffers and Phyllis Dean; nieces, Julianna Canonica and Jessica Morgenstein; nephews, Tyler Scott and Brandon Morgenstein; stepmother, Vicki Harsh; stepfather, Donald Scotten; stepsisters Darla and Dani Scotten; and cousins, Scott Jeffers, Sonja Roberts and Melissa Roberts.She was preceded in death by her parents, William D. Rector and Dorothy Scotten (nee Durrant).Friends will be received Sunday, June 2, 2019 from 1:00 pm until the time of a 2:00 pm memorial service at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Reverend Beth McKee will officiate.
