We loved Molly as our Duck Lake neighbor and sweet friend. She generously shared her Aspen condo with us for many summers. To Molly's family: I'm so sorry for your loss - and ours too. I knew your mom through my mom, Ann Buchanan. I tagged along on a few occasions when she and my mom and a third friend, Flossy Muller, would get together for a social excursion of some sort or other: the art museum, a nature center or a park, the garden center, or just lunch somewhere nice and out-of-the-way. On those occasions I saw a woman who was smart, gracious, genuine, open and just really fun to be around. Her sense of civic duty and commitment were obviously deeply held values, but she seemed to wear them very lightly. Despite her local prominence - her lengthy record of accomplishments as an engaged and dedicated citizen, and as an apparently tireless community champion - to me, she was just a really lovely lady who happened to be one of my mom's dearest friends. Molly was a beautiful, kind woman who I knew as "Aunt Molly". Her spirit was always positive and uplifting. She was always joyful, modest and a wonderful listener. She had the talent of making you feel like whatever you were telling her was the most important information in the world. She used her wealth and position to change the world aroung her in a very positive way. I have deep admiration and respect for her.
