Movia J. Bunny Johns (nee Shaffer), 87, died August 9, 2015 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home in Lorain, where she has been a resident for the past 14 years.She was born October 8, 1927 in Lorain and was a 1945 graduate of Lorain High School. Movia was a former resident of Elyria and had been employed as an L.P.N. at Providence Hospital in Sandusky and then for 20 years, as manager of Waldenbooks at Midway Mall in Elyria. She formerly attended St. Jude Church and her interests included reading, knitting, crocheting and playing Bingo.Movia is survived by daughters Donna H. (Clyde) McConaughey and Deborah L. Miller, both of Elyria; grandchildren Steve Peck, Aubrey Calvert and Adam Johns; numerous great grandchildren and adoptive friend Aaron Heidrich.She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin D. Johns in 1997; father Neil Shaffer in 1953 and her mother Helen Lakatosh in 1995.Friends will be received Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. A graveside service will be Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. Pastor Rick Stein of First United Presbyterian Church in Elyria will officiate.
