Nancy Myers Obituary
Nancy G. Myers (nee Godfrey), 86, of Elyria, died March 12, 2021. She was born April 8, 1934 in Elyria, was a 1952 graduate of Elyria High School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Baldwin Wallace College. For 25 years, she taught kindergarten in the Elyria City Schools, mostly at Hamilton and Oakwood Elementary Schools. Nancy was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Elyria and enjoyed monthly luncheons with her retired teacher friends. Nancy is survived by daughters, Kathleen (Howard) Kerber and Margaret Miller, both of Elyria; grandchildren, Catherine (Hugh) Kerber, Ian Kerber, Joshua Miller and Sarah (Rob) Michler; and great-grandchildren, Grady and Tobias Michler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene in 1977 and parents, Walter and Wilma Godfrey. A graveside service will be Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 11:00 am in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria with Reverend June Hardy Dorsey officiating. COVID-19 precautions will be observed, face masks are required. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 300 Third Street, Elyria.
