Nancy and I grew up together. Our mothers were close friends when we were babies and most of our lives before we got married. Nancy and I went to the same church and high school and we spent many sleepovers together. When my husband and I moved away from Elyria we lost touch, but I kept track of Nancy through friends. I just learned today of her passing on to our Lord. Someday, we will be reunited! May praryers are with the family.Barb Shaw Frymier
Kurt,Although I had not seen your mom for several year, memories of her go back more than 40 years. She was always very kind. You and your family have my heartfelt condolences as I know you will miss her very much.
Very well put, that is why you should be a author.
My big sister, Nancy, an intensely private and focused woman, was of course in my life from the beginning. Childhood memories are pulled out of the place where experiences are stored in my brain, and some of the moments I remember most fondly are playing in the yard with her and neighborhood children, riding in the back seat of the car with her to church and to our grandparents’ house in Wooster, and sleeping in the same bed with her over the years. As time went on my sister found her greatest happiness in her husband, Dave, and sons, Nathen and Kurt. You would always find Nancy in her free time creating things with her hands, - beautiful knit sweaters for her sons, intricately detailed, hand-cut silhouettes, and wherever she could find a piano being un-played she would sit down and reach out to touch the keys playing songs that resonated with her church life. These activities touched a place deep inside her, I think, and perhaps provided a welcoming sense of personal satisfaction. The last few months and years have been challenging for Nancy both physically and emotionally, so all of us in the family are feeling at peace that she is at last in a good place. Thank God the suffering is behind her and she is truly “at homeâ€.
