Nancy Morris Obituary
Nancy M. Morris (nee: Hawkins), 72, of Oberlin, died Friday, September 7, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Lorain. She was born March 7, 1940 in Marquette, Michigan and was a graduate of Bishop Baraga High School in Marquette. She has been a resident of the Oberlin area since 1963 and was employed for 23 years as a supervisor in shipping at Green Circle Growers in Oberlin. Nancy was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Oberlin where she had taught third grade Sunday school. She was also a member of Oberlin Junior Womans Club and was a former woman of the year. Special times for her were the holidays, baking and being with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed flower gardening, playing the slot machines and spending her Saturdays going to lunch and shopping. Nancy is survived by her husband of 50 years, Robert E.; sons, Robert A. (Kathy Amison) Morris and Thomas E. (Vickie) Morris both of Oberlin; Randy S. (Evelyn Broslawik) Morris of Penfield; daughter, Wendy L. (Zack) Dolyk of Vermillion; grandchildren, Jimmy Hozalski, Kayla Marie Morris and Randy Morris; stepgrandchilden, Nicki, Joe, Brian, Billy, Holly and Austin, sister, Joann Lancour of Marquette, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Sophie Hawkins and seven brothers and sisters. Friends will be received Tuesday September 11, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue. A funeral mass will be Wednesday September 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Catholic Church, 46 East Main Street, Wakeman, Ohio. Reverend Douglas Taylor will be the celebrant with burial in Camden Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Providence Care Centers, 5000 Providence Drive, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
