Noel Cash Obituary
Noel G. Cash, 65, of Elyria, died December 11, 2021 after a lengthy illness. He was born December 25, 1955 in Ardmore, OK, moving to Oberlin in 1976 and to Elyria in 1981. Noel was employed for thirty two years at Ford Lorain Assembly Plant and retired from Ford Ohio Assembly Plant, Avon Lake. He was a member of Wind Beneath My Wings Christian Fellowship, Barberton, OH. At the church he served as a deacon, was in charge of the pantry, former head usher and caretaker of the Pastors. He also blew the Jewish Horn, Shofar. He enjoyed listening to sermons on his phone and gospel singing. He loved fishing, camping and travel. Noel is survived by his wife of forty one years, Pamela; daughter, Tawana (Cleo) Bowens; son, Gerrel Watkins; three grandsons; one granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Byrd and Lula Cash; sisters, Willie Mirl Johnson and Mabel Fitzpatrick and brothers, Benny, Byrd W., Gene Sr., J.C. and Johnny Cash.Friends will be received Monday December 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the time of an 11:00 AM service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Pastor Rachel Neal will officiate. Burial will be in Westwood Cemetery, Oberlin.
