Norma L. SnyderNorma L. Snyder, 88, of Elyria, died, September 4, 2017 at O’Neill Healthcare North Ridgeville. She was born January 31, 1929 in Abbott, WV and was a graduate of Tennerton High School in Buckhannon, WV. Norma has been a resident of Elyria most of her adult life and in addition to being a homemaker, Norma held many jobs over her working career including her favorite as a receptionist at Olan Mills Portrait Studios. She was a member of Elyria Baptist Church, an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, enjoyed reading, playing scrabble, computer games and loved her cats.Norma was the beloved mother of daughters, Sherry (Kel) Bergdale, Judy Belfiore, Patty McGlaughlin, Joyce (Gary) Thibo, Terrie Snyder and Jacquie (Bob) Loper; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and her cat, Priscilla Sue.She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mabel Lemons; sister, Fern Micale; grandson, Michael Griffith and a great granddaughter, Lacey Snyder.Friends will be received Friday September 8, 2017 from 10:00 AM until the time of a noon service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Major Robert Sears of the Elyria Salvation Army will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship APL, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, 44035.
