I know Norm from his work in product compliance for Moen, as I worked (and still do) at a competitor, American Standard, now LIXIL. Norm was a good guy, always level-headed and with clear thoughts and ideas. It was a real loss for the product compliance community when he retired, and a greater loss now that he has passed. Norm was an amazing person and I always held him in high regard; I learned a lot from him and considered him a good friend, someone I could always turn to for sound advice. I always looked forward to seeing him at the meetings and enjoyed his company. I will miss him.
A few years ago, Norman and Judy visited a science enrichment camp for elementary school students. The children were working on a fun experiment to understand how electrical impulses can move toy cars and Norman was delighted to help the children with their efforts. Thank you Mr. Kummerlen, for supporting the children.
Norm was a great co-worker and friend. We enjoyed solving many problems together here at Moen for over 12 years. We also enjoyed talking about restoring cars. He was a kind individual and I can still hear him talking on the phone in my mind as our desks were located very close together. RIP Norm.
