Pamela A. Wilcox, 69, of Elyria, died July 23, 2022 after a lengthy illness. She was born August 12, 1952 in Elyria and was a 1971 graduate of Elyria High School and received an associate degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse from Lorain County Community College. Pam served with the US Army for 2 years attending Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) for training and later worked as an operating room technician in Korea. After her time in the military, she worked at a nursing home in Oberlin and then for the prison system in Grafton. Pam is survived by a son, Darnell Wilcox of Elyria; brothers, Eric A. (Octavia) Wilcox of Liverpool, NY and Robert Gary (Shelia) Wilcox of Midland, TX. Other siblings include Gregory Strong, Alison Sceeles, Kathryn Terry and Shawn Wilcox and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Jean Wilcox; grandmother, Evelyn Yarbrough and a brother, Leonard B. Wilcox. Friends will be received Friday, July 29, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time of a 12:00 pm noon service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria with Chaplain Beverly Beidleman officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. There are no gallery images.
