Pauline Tobias Obituary
Pauline Beverly Tobias (nee Knapp), 85, of Elyria, passed from this life into her eternal resting place, September 24, 2021 after a lengthy illness. She was born Pauline Knapp October 26, 1935 in Elyria to Paul William and Vivian Beatrice (nee McDonald) Knapp. She was a 1954 graduate of Elyria High School in 1954 and resided in Elyria her entire life. Pauline was a dedicated wife to Lee Donald Tobias whom she married in Angola, Indiana August 28, 1954. Lee and Pauline celebrated 66 years of marriage in 2020. Lee was blessed to have a caring and devoted wife who made the home a safe and loving place, as God intended. She was dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To know her was a joy and a blessing. She loved unconditionally and was the kindest and most classy lady you could ever know. Her greatest joys were making memories with her grandchildren and spoiling them with unimaginable love. Pauline is survived by her daughter, Barbara L. Droddy (Marlon) of Vermilion; son, Michael Paul Tobias of Texas; grandchildren Eric C. Bors, Jennifer Bors, Burgandy Clowers and Amber Tobias; great-grandchildren, Emily, Shane, Brandon, Ramie, Christopher, Olivia, Alaina, Everett and Bella; sister, Betty Lou Rucker of Wellington who was Pauline’s loving support and confidant; Pauline’s dear friend of 74 years Ruth Hodgson; and many nieces and nephews were also a joy in her life. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lee Donald Tobias, who passed July 5, 2021; her parents; and two brothers. Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
