Phyllis E. Adams (nee Monnig), 90, of Carlisle Township, died Sunday, February 24, 2013 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain.She was born December 15, 1922 in Crafton, Pennsylvania and has been a Carlisle Township resident since 1962.She was a member of the LaGrange Homemakers and the Attic Club of the Elyria YWCA. She enjoyed the company of friends; her pet miniature schnauzer and traveling with her late husband in their fifth-wheel trailer.Phyllis is survived by her stepson Richard W. (Charlotte) Adams, Jr. and grandchildren Elena and Michael; brother Jon (Carol) Monnig of Anderson, SC; nieces Lisa Monnig Petre and Leslie Monnig Middlekauff; great nieces Kristen and Rachel and a great-great nephew Carter.She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Richard W. Adams in 2006.Friends will be received Wednesday, February 27, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria. A graveside service will be Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Chartiers Cemetery, in Carnegie, PA.
