Phyllis Lodge Obituary
Phyllis M. Lodge (nee Fey), 98, of Pinehurst, NC and a former longtime Elyria resident, died August 4, 2023. She was born August 19, 1924 in Amherst, Ohio and was a graduate of Amherst High School and Oberlin Business College. She had worked as a secretary at Western Automatic and H&L Construction which her husband owned and operated for 20 years. After retiring, she and her husband traveled extensively and spent their winters in Florida. Phyllis was a member of First United Methodist Church in Elyria. She and her husband were members of Holly Hoedowners Square Dance Club and the Holiday Ramblers Travel Club. Other interests included gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. Phyllis is survived by daughters, Barbara (James) Hudak and Sandra (Dale) Dean of Clarksville, GA and Lori Cooke of Vass, NC; son, David (Lori) Lodge of Kenesaw, GA; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Philip J. in 2013; parents, Albert and Elsie Fey and a sister, Alberta "Bert" (Charles Wade) Hallauer. Friends will be received Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time of an 11:00 am service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria with Pastor Bryan George officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
