Priscilla J. “Penny” MauPriscilla J. “Penny” Mau (nee Simmons), 88, of Elyria, died, August 18, 2018 at The Abbewood where she had made her home. She was born August 20, 1929 in Cattaraugus, New York. After graduating from high school she attended Rochester Business Institute for two years. Penny had been employed as a medical assistant in the office of several area physicians and also worked at the Lorain County Medical Society. She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, enjoyed reading and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.Penny is survived by her daughter, Gail (David) Lindamood of Cadillac, Michigan; son, Jeffery (Leena) Mau of North Royalton, Ohio; grandsons, Benjamin, Nicholas and Drew Lindamood and Zachary and Matthew Mau and four great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty one years, Darwin A. “Lou” Mau in 2012 and a brother, Jack Simmons.A memorial service will be Saturday August 25, 2018 at 10:00 AM in First Congregational United Church of Christ, 330 Second Street, Elyria with Reverend Patrick Nicolino officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elyria.
