Ralph R. Dick Ward, 70, of Grafton died November 20, 2016 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. Dick was born February 19, 1946 in Lodi, Ohio. He was a graduate of Elyria High School and attended Lorain County Community College. He was formerly employed in the sales department at Larson Foundry in Grafton and retired from his own company, Metro Castings. He later worked part time for Specialty Services.Dick is survived by his wife of twenty three years, Barbara Ward (nee: Moss); daughter, Kimberly Payne (Scott) of Elyria; step-children, Scott Smith (Autumn Phillips) of Oberlin, Lisa Farnsworth (William) of Brunswick Hills and Susan Martin (James) of Grafton; grandchildren, Logan Payne (Laurie), Lindsay Payne (Greg Kerro), Casey Smith, Benjamin and Matthew Farnsworth and Cody and Emily Martin and a sister, Bonnie Rodgers of Camden, North Carolina.He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Daisy Ward; infant daughter, Tamara; brothers, Walter and Jake Ward and sisters, Shirley Fair and Treva Neal.A private burial service was held at Brookdale Cemetery. Arrangements were in the care of Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elyria.
