Raymond Bauer Obituary
Raymond E. Bauer, 60, of Elyria, passed away July 6, 2023 at Metro Health Medical Center, Cleveland. He was born January 20, 1963 in Cleveland and attended Berea High School and Elyria High School. He was currently employed at Novagard Solutions in Cleveland. Ray had been lead vocal in several bands including The Labyrinth, Titan and Big Machine. They played at numerous venues in the Cleveland area and in 1990 his band appeared on Northcoast Buzzard Tracks CD for WMMS. He was a stone mason and had owned Bauer Brothers Masonry and Victory Masonry. For 18 years, he had formerly been employed at Ridge Tool Company, Elyria. He loved Cleveland sports teams, live music and the outdoors. Ray is survived by his children, Danielle Bauer, James Bauer, Keely Bauer, Nicholas Bauer, Victor Bauer, Alexander Bauer and Trevor Bauer; 3 granddaughters; his former wife of 23 years, Pamela Moore Bauer; father, Raymond Bauer (Fronia); sister, Kimberly Gibson (Bob); half-sister, Evelyn Bauer Kehoe (Mark); step-brother, Norman Clark Bauer; step-sister, Lisa Zelenka and his girlfriend, Candace Codner. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Bauer. A Celebration of Ray’s Life will be 2:00 pm Saturday, July 15, 2023 at House of Praise International Church, 4321 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, OH. Following the service, friends and family can gather together for a reception at 5 Points Tavern, 134 Park Avenue, Amherst, OH.
