Raymond F. Seymore, 79, of Elyria, died July 21, 2014 at his home.He was born December 23, 1934 in Lilly, PA and from 1952 to 1955 was a U.S. Navy veteran and had served in Korea.Ray was employed as an electrician at Ford Motor Company in Avon, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Elyria AMVETS Post 32, where he served 2 terms as a trustee, Elyria United Polish Club and Elyria Eagles Club. He was a member of Mid-Century Lodge N0. 725, F. & A.M, Avon Lake and Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Cleveland. He had also been a coach with Little League North and a Life Share blood donorRay is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Ann Rose Seymore; daughter Kelly Joepeck and grandsons Nate and Matt Joepeck; stepsons George (Randi) Rose, Brian (Connie) Rose and Vincent (Kelly) Rose; stepdaughters Darlene (Ray) Straka and Tammie (Joe) Kristoff; 11 step grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren and brothers John and Ed Seymore.He was preceded in death by his mother Agnes Seymore, stepfather Ed Seymore and sister Mary Gwin.Friends will be received Thursday, July 24 2014 from 3 P.M. until the time of a 6:00 P.M. service at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Reverend C. Thomas French will officiate.
