Raymond S. Parks, 52, of Elyria, Ohio passed on to a better life July 31, 2012. He was born January 13, 1960 in Elyria and attended Lucy Idol Center and Murray Ridge School. He was a member of Elyria Victory Baptist Church and enjoyed country music, spending time with family and friends, watching the Cleveland Browns and vacationing in West Virginia. Raymond is survived by a brother, Glenn L. (Pat) Parks of Sheffield Lake, Ohio and sisters, Sheila M. Parks of Wake Forest, North Carolina and Sherry (Gerry) Shepherd of Havelock, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester D. Parks in 1980, mother, Ida Mae Parks in 2005 and a sister, Debra J. Parks in 1951. Friends will be received Saturday August 4, 2012 from 11:00 AM until the time of a 1:00 PM service at Raiguel Funeral Home, 1200 East Main Street, Harrisville, West Virginia. Burial will be in Deem Cemetery, Beatrice, West Virginia. Dicken Funeral Home Elyria handled local arrangements.
