Rebecca Slauter Obituary
Rebecca Ann Slauter (nee Shaffer), 61, of Elyria, died June 10, 2021 in her home. She was born October 27, 1959 in Elyria and was a 1978 graduate of Elyria High School. Rebecca received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Ohio State University in 1982 and for most of her career, she taught at Harold Schnell Elementary School in West Carrollton, Ohio. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church, Elyria. Rebecca is survived by a son, Michael (Mary) Slauter, Milford, OH; daughters, Jessica (Max) Nudelman, Brunswick, GA and Rachel (AJ) Frigo, LaFayette, IN; grandchildren, Ezra, Isaac and Adaline Slauter and Landon and Peyton Nudelman; father, Charles Shaffer, Elyria; sisters, Karen (Sean) McGee, Hilliard, OH and Diane (Keven) Wolford, Wakeman, OH. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice Shaffer in 2014. Friends will be received Friday, June 18, 2021 from 11:00 am until the time of a 1:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend Kevin Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Memorial contributions may be made to Community United Methodist Church, 680 North Abbe Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
