Richard C. FishburnRichard C. Fishburn, 82, of Eaton Township went home to be with the Lord March 16, 2018 after a lengthy illness. He was born January 23, 1936 in Lakewood, OH and was a graduate of Eaton High School and Ohio State University. After several years of teaching industrial arts at Firelands High School and Rocky River High School, Richard used his skills as a master craftsman to begin his own business, House of Hardwood, later to become Elegant Wood Products, Inc. He was a devoted Christian, faithfully attending church and bible study.Richard is survived by his wife of fifty four years, Sheila (nee; Roe); sons, Scott (Nancy) Fishburn of Avon Lake, Bill (Melissa) Fishburn and Tom (Sara) Fishburn both of Houston, TX; daughter, Julie (Dominic) Piazza of Grafton; thirteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Scheerer of Norwalk, OH and a brother, Jack Fishburn of Marengo, OH.He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ruby Fishburn and a sister, Mary Brehm.Friends will be received Saturday March 24, 2018 from 2:00 PM until the time of a 4:00 PM service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Pastor Jack Irvin of River Church, Akron, OH will officiate. Private burial will be at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to 103rd O.V.I. Memorial Foundation Endowment Fund, 5501 E. Lake Road, Sheffield Lake, OH 44054.
