Richard K. Beltz, 89, formerly of Grafton, died May 24, 2016 at Arbors at Streetsboro.He was born July 15, 1926 in Limaville, Ohio and was a 1944 graduate of Alliance High School. He served with the United States Army Air Corps in the Philippines. In 1950, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Union College. His career in education included teaching in the Elyria City Schools for 32 years, retiring in 1983.From 1959 until he retired in 1995, Richard was also employed by the Ohio Turnpike Commission. He was a 50 year member and sang in the choir of LaPorte United Methodist Church, Elyria Richard is survived by sons, Eric J. (Linda) Beltz of Bridgeman, MI and Ronald K. (Monica) Beltz of Lafayette, LA; daughter, Anne M. (Scott) Weslow of Ravenna, OH; grandchildren, Brian (Ginger), Rusty and Phillip Beltz, Christy (Matt) Coutcher, Joshua (Jessica) Beltz, Heather (Chris) Folck, David (Laura) Beltz, Erich Beltz and Nicole Weslow; great grandchildren, Levi, Ben, Brady and Judah and a sister, Lois Johnston of Limaville, OH.He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy M. in 2011; parents, Floyd and Marie Beltz; brother, Arthur Beltz and sisters, Jean Pfeifer and Louise Diehl.Friends will be received Sunday, May 29, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of a 7:00 p.m. service at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Reverend Matt Coutcher will officiate. A burial service will be Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Peace Cemetery, Hartville, OH.
