Richard L. PeabodyRichard L. Peabody, 61, of Elyria, died August 30, 2017 after a brief illness. He was born January 11, 1956 in Elyria and was a 1975 graduate of Elyria High School. Rick was the owner/operator of 656 Sugar Lane DBA Backstreet Grill and Pub. He previously trained to be a butcher and purchased a Convenient Food Mart in Lorain and was also formerly employed at Ohio Vending Machine in Elyria. Interests included gardening, cooking and playing golf.Rick is survived by his wife, Laurie Peabody (nee: Hedges); sons, Adam Peabody of Sheffield Lake and Brian (Emily) Peabody of Parma; grandchildren, Landon, Abbriana, Adam and Liam Peabody; sister, Sharon (Tim) Gebhardt of Elyria and a niece, Karie Youngeberg and nephew, Todd Gebhardt.He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Norma Peabody.
