Robert Allen Riley, 78, of Elyria, died October 1, 2022 in his home. He was born October 29, 1943 in Butler, PA. Before retiring, he had been employed as a dump truck driver for various companies. Allen enjoyed turkey shoots, fishing, spending time with family and going to clubs with his buddies. Allen is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judith Ann (nee Squires); children, Richard (Larry Hess) Riley of Amherst, Carolyn (Brent) Jones of Elyria and David Riley of Columbus; grandchildren, Marissa, Lorna, Tony and Kaitlin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaylord and Catherine (nee McIntyre) Riley and siblings, Randall, Leroy and Mary. Friends will be received Sunday, October 9, 2022 from 3:00 pm until the time of a 4:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Pastor Troy Smith of Pilgrim United Church of Christ will officiate.
