Robert Bob Bunnell, 75, of Elyria, went to be with his Lord, May 18, 2012 at his home with family by his side. He was born November 7, 1936 in Philippi, Barbour County, West Virginia to Wilson and Mary (nee: Calhoun) Bunnell. Bob was employed at Allied Van Lines for many years and retired in 1983 from Lear Siglier (Romec Pump) where he was an accomplished buffer. He enjoyed giving to others and had been a 45 year volunteer for the Elyria Salvation Army. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Caryl A. Bunnell (nee: Spencer); sons, Robert Jr. (Kathy), Thomas (Carol), Elbin (Susan), Weldon (Karen), Paul (Beth), Jim (Stacie) and Wayne; daughters, Betty (Bill) Sargent, Victoria (Paul) Harsh, Frances Uhaly, Bernice (Nick) Hall, Patricia (Keith) Sapp, and Wendy (Keith) Onder; 30 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and his dog, Willie.He was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Bunnell; mother, Mary Shoulders and step-father, Homer Shoulders, brother, James Shoulders and several aunts and uncles.Friends will be received Monday May 21, 2012 from 2:00- 4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A funeral service will be Tuesday May 22, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home with Major Alice Stahl officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elyria Salvation Army Older Adult Program 716 Broad Street, Elyria 44035. The Bunnell family extends it appreciation to Center Ridge Health Campus and New Life Hospice for their care and thoughtfulness shown to Bob.
