Robert W. Bob Mitchell, 83, of Elyria, died May 31, 2016 at ONeill Healthcare, North Ridgeville.He was born July 14, 1932 in Avon, Ohio and has been an Elyria resident most of his life. From 1952 to 1954, Bob served with the United States Army in Korea.Bob was employed at Pfaudler Company in Elyria from 1954 until the plant closing. He was a fan of all sports, enjoyed bowling and his pet boxer.Bob is survived by a brother James A. (Ruth) Mitchell of Elyria; nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law Kathy Mitchell and Carol Mitchell and a friend Darrell Deitrich.He was preceded in death by his parents John and Wanda Mitchell; sisters Betty Willis and Juanita Mitchell and brothers Carl, Walter, Alfred, Gerald and Kenneth Mitchell.Friends will be received Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of a 7:00 p.m. service at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Reverend Bill Shomo will officiate. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, OH.
