Robert C. JungRobert C. Jung, 89, a resident of Elyria since 1971 died, September 6, 2018. He was born September 14, 1928 in Randolph, Wisconsin and received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1951 from the University of Wisconsin. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and Phi Tau Sigma, a mechanical engineering honorary fraternity. Bob was a Korean War veteran serving from 1951-1953 as a navigator on a destroyer. After his discharge he served in the Navy Reserve from 1953-1963. He was employed as a mechanical engineer at Westinghouse, Borg Warner, and York until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Elyria and his hobbies included model ship building and reading.Bob is survived by his wife of sixty six years, Dolores (nee; Silverness); children, Kirk (Lee) Jung, of Boca Raton, FL, Joel (Allison) Jung of Orinda, CA, Paula (Gordon) Blickle of Strongsville, OH and Tony (Margaret) Jung of Solon, OH; nine grandchildren and one great grandson.He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Elfrieda Jung and a sister, Mary Phillips.
