Robert C. LewisRobert “Bob” Lewis, 80, of North Ridgeville, son of Marion and James K. Lewis passed away November 11, 2018. He was born in Cleveland and graduated from Oxford School, attended Columbia High School and graduated from Elyria High School-one of four co-valedictorian’s in the class of 1955. He furthered his education with a B.A. from Baldwin Wallace and a MBA from Western Reserve University. He also had graduate work at The University of Kentucky. For fifty nine years Bob was a partner in Lewis Monument Co. and Lorain Monument Company with his father, brother, son and son-in-law. He served six years in the Ohio National Guard and had a lifelong interest in military aviation. He was a fifty eight year member of First United Methodist Church, Elyria where he was a longtime Sunday School teacher. He had also been an economics instructor at LCCC. Bob is survived by his twin brother, William J. (Darlene); children, Marky (Tom) Eck, Ken and Christopher Lewis; grandchildren, Hannah, Jonah, Noah and Alyssa. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty seven years, Judy (nee Swann); beloved parents; grandparents; aunts and uncles. The family would like to thank everyone for their concern, thoughts, prayers, efforts and searching for Bob while he was missing. He will be missed. Bob’s wife, Judith Kay Lewis (nee Swann) passed away October 26, 2017 at the age of 75. Not only was Judy a wife, mother and grandmother, she was a cousin, aunt and friend to many. She was the daughter of the late Hoyt and Nola Swann and sister of Eugene, William, Hoyt, James and Kenneth all of whom preceded her in death.Judy was a graduate of Brooklyn High School and married Bob in 1961. She was a stay at home mom to Marky, Ken and Chris. Judy was active with the North Ridgeville PTA and worked in the school cafeteria before being employed in the cafeteria at Moen Inc. After retiring from Moen she spent her days relishing in being a grandmother to Hannah, Jonah, Noah and Alyssa. A graveside service for the family was held at Columbia Township Cemetery with Reverend Dalton D. Love officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 312 3rdStreet, Elyria 44035. Arrangements were in the care of Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Elyria.
