Robert Rundle Obituary
Robert L. Rundle, 98, a longtime resident of LaGrange and Elyria, died March 28, 2023 at Elms Retirement Village in Wellington. He was born June 10, 1924 in Columbia Station. He attended LaGrange High School, leaving in 1942 to enlist in the US Army Air Force where served until his discharge in 1945. For over fifty years, he was an auctioneer. Robert had a life long love of horses and since the age of 6 the Lorain County Fair. He had also been employed at Ridge Tool Company, Harshaw Chemical Company and Westinghouse. Robert is survived by a son, Bruce (Bonny) Rundle of Saint Johns, FL; step-son, Larry (Dawn) Smith of New Carlisle, OH; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wives, Helen and Mary Elizabeth. A heartfelt acknowledgement is extended to his niece, Nancy Marquis and friends, Ron and Betty Wartaball for their continuing care and concern for Robert.
