Bob was born November 19, 1936 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of David J. and Florence (nee Cronin) Shelar of Youngstown, Ohio. We wish to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve and Infinite Helping Hands for their outstanding care and support provided to Bob and our family. He was a 50-year season ticket holder with the Cleveland Browns and enjoyed watching the Indians, Cavaliers and The Ohio State University games. He was affectionately nicknamed “Buckeye Bob” by his co-workers. One of his favorite vacations was a trip to Ireland to play golf. He spent many winters vacationing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, where he enjoyed playing golf and enjoyed the company of dear friends from Iowa.
