Robert S. Kitson, 74, of Elyria, died October 9, 2020. He was born April 19, 1946 in Lakewood, OH and was a 1964 graduate of North Ridgeville High School. Bob was an accomplished tradesman, skilled at working with his hands and formerly employed at Moen, Inc., Lear Romec, and Sommer’s Mobile Leasing, Inc. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Other interests included fishing, hunting, boating, golf, bowling and attending tractor pulls at the fair. Bob is survived by his children, Laura (Brian) Vavzincak and Douglas Kitson both of Elyria and Karen (Brian) Winningham of Vermilion; grandchildren, Joshawa, Jasmine, Tony, William, Christopher and Nicole; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Peggy (Terry) Callahan of Elyria and Nancy (Matthew) McGuire of LaGrange. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilber and Marge Kitson. A graveside service will be Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 12pm noon in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Reverend Dr. Janet A. Long will officiate. COVID-19 precautions will be observed and face coverings are required.
