Robert Paige Obituary
Robert S. Paige, 79, of Elyria, transitioned into his next life at his home August 12, 2016. He was born August 29, 1936 in Bainbridge, Georgia. Robert was a thirty three year employee of General Motors in Elyria and retired from the Parma Plant in 1996. He was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Elyria where he was a former trustee and financial chairman. He enjoyed gardening and painting and caring for his home. Robert is survived by his wife of fifty eight years, Barbara Ann (nee: Stiles); son, Stanley D. (Beverly) Paige of Toledo, Ohio; daughter, Tonya (Rick) Pyles of Perrysburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Tiffani (Jonathan) Dobbins of Madison, Alabama, Darren Paige of Wichita Falls, Texas, Dante' and DeShea Pyles of Perrysburg; great grandchildren, Aaliyah Gillespie and Corey Dobbins.He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Pate and Corine Taylor and a step-brother, Carlton Glass. Friends will be received Wednesday August 17, 2016 from 11:00 AM until the time of a noon service at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 632 West River Road North, Elyria. Reverend Marcettes L. Cunningham, Senior Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mercy New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain 44053. Arrangements are in the care of Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.
