Robert W. ClarkRobert W. Clark, Sr. 96, of Elyria, died, June 23, 2018. He was born May 10, 1922 in Elyria and was a 1940 graduate of Elyria High School. During WWII he served with the United States Navy in the South Atlantic. From 1945 until retiring in 1987 he was employed as a mail carrier with The United States Postal Service and was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. Bob was a member of Washington Avenue Christian Church and Elyria American Legion Post 12. Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling with his wife and neighbors, including casino trips. For ten years he and his family delivered Meals On Wheels. Other pastimes were baseball, golfing and bowling.Bob is survived by his son, Jeff Clark; daughter, Cathy (Lloyd) Wright both of Elyria; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty three years, Marjorie (nee: Buswell) in 2007; son, Robert W. Clark, Jr. in 2006; daughters, Pamela and Susan Clark and Christine Little; granddaughter, Jenny Clark; parents, Harold and Gladys Clark; brothers, Richard and Edward Clark and a sister, Sylvia Clark.A graveside service will be Monday 11:00 AM July 2, 2018 at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Reverend Dr. Janet A. Long will officiate and Elyria VFW # 1079 will present military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Hattie Larlham Foundation, 7996 Darrow Road Suite 10, Twinsburg, OH 44087 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
