Roberta June Verlotti (nee Payne), 89, of Elyria, died December 28, 2014 at Allen Mercy Hospital in Oberlin.She was born November 19, 1925 in Detroit.Roberta June retired from Discount Drug Mart on Abbe Road in Elyria. She was a member of St. Jude Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and always supportive of her family. She had a welcoming sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh.Roberta is survived by her son Patrick (Jean) Verlotti of Wellington; daughters Antoinette Toni (Delmar) Ott of North Ridgeville, Sharon (Michael) Klupenger of Henrietta Township and Maryann Verlotti of Elyria; grandchildren Sean Harrison, Rick Verlotti, Melissa Smith, Katrina and Jennifer Kelley, Carli Wall and Dominic Zullo and 22 great grandchildren; brothers Raymond and Stanley Payne and sisters Beverly Shaw and Tootsie Waldecki.She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Patrick W. in 2012; parents Robert and Nora Payne; granddaughter Anna Kelley and a sister Margaret Payne.Friends will be received Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. A mass of Christian burial will be Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Church, 590 Poplar St., Elyria. Reverend Father Frank P. Kosem, will be the celebrant. Entombment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Avon.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Allen Hospital Medical Surgical Unit, 200 W. Lorain St., Oberlin, OH 44074.
