Roger Roseborough Obituary
Roger Ray Roseborough, 89, of Elyria, died January 10, 2020. He was born July 14, 1930 in Ashland, OH, where he lived before moving to Elyria in 1952. He was employed at Concrete Masonry Corporation, then as a truck driver at Valley City Supply, from where he retired. Roger was a member of Community United Methodist Church, Elyria Masonic Lodge No. 787, a 32nd degree Mason and member of Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Cleveland, and member and past Patron of Stone City Chapter No. 325 O.E.S. He served in the National Guard and enjoyed fishing and golfing. Roger is survived by his wife of 69 years, Donna Marie (nee Hamilton); daughter, Cynthia Fetcenko, of Elyria; grandchildren, Thomas (wife, Kristin Bauer) Fetcenko, of Lakewood, and Lisa (William, Jr.) Vagi, of Elyria; great-granddaughter, Isla; and sisters, Lucille Landis, Beanie Bowersock, and Grace Anne (Phil) Vermillion, all of Ashland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Willis and Rose Katherine (nee Barnett) Roseborough; siblings, Blanche Murr, James Roseborough, Marie Striet, Sarah Crossen, Bill Roseborough, and Robert Roseborough; and nephew, Lester Whiteamire. Friends will be received on Thursday, January 16, from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM for an Eastern Star Service followed by a noon funeral service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend Kevin Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, located in Avon. Memorial contributions may be made to Community United Methodist Church, 680 N.
