Ronald D. Daley, 85, of Vermilion, died March 3, 2014.He was born January 23, 1929 in Vermilion, where he was a 1947 graduate of Vermilion High School. He served with the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict.Ronald was employed as a tool and die maker for 33 years at General Motors, retiring in 1998. He was a member of Stonington Lodge #503 F. and A.M. and Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Cleveland.Ronald is survived by sons Timothy, James and Brent (Kathleen) Daley and a daughter Heather (Stephen) Prior; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Janet E. (nee Lumadue) Daley in 2010 and parents James and Martha (nee Ruminsky) Daley.Friends will be received Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria, OH.A graveside service will be Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Brownhelm Cemetery, Vermilion. Reverend June Hardy Dorsey, Rector of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Elyria will officiate. Elyria V.F.W. Post #1079 will present military honors.
