A Memorial tree was ordered in memory of Ronald E. Fahrney. Plant a TreeTo someone that lived life on their own terms, loved being around people and sharing so many stories of his time in the US Army, to Carpet Sales, to the Chronicle Telegram to auctioneer and more - your job lists and careers show the art of re-inventing yourself. But where you really lit up was telling jokes, being around family, church and of course doing your ongoing hobby of finding and reselling furniture and other collectibles - you will be missed. You made 90 the new 80; and I cant believe you were able to live independently, drive, and continue to do the things that you enjoyed until your passing. I loved our chats from your favorite blue rocking chair when we would visit. You could always get a bidder, bidder auctioneer voice started and share a long list of your favorite jokes with Landon & Maddie to get them laughing. Landons love of telling jokes (and ability to remember them!) must come from you. Feel fortunate to have visited over the summer to have seen you still smiling & joking; with a strong sense of stubborn resolve - which is exactly how I want to remember you. I hope you are still complaining about the food being just a bit too spicy , and the room being not quite right as you continue your journey beyond. I wouldnt expect anything less. Also who else gets to say they hung out with Aerosmith - you do. RIP Grandpa #YouDidItYourWay
